Once Upon a Time...

There lived a girl and her rabbit.

 

Catherine Bass is a watercolor and ink artist based in Chicago. She graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago having received her BFA in Studio Art. She served as a visual arts instructor at Elgin Academy, a college-preparatory school, teaching 2D Foundations, Advanced Drawing and Advanced Painting to middle and high-school students.

While she likes exploring various materials for her illustrations, watercolor and ink stippling remain her media of choice. 

 

She lives with Charles, her magical black rabbit, and enjoys spending her days taking walks, reading and illustrating the things she observes inside her walled garden.
